Student Spotlight: Jamarian Wells from CTC East Fire Science

Meet Jamarian, a dedicated Olive Branch High School senior who is making a big impact in the world of fire science and public safety!

This is Jamarian's second year in the Fire Science program at CTC East, and he's already achieving amazing things. In his first year, he took the initiative to join the Fairhaven Volunteer Fire Department, where he quickly stood out. In fact, he was awarded the Rookie of the Year award this weekend, an impressive accomplishment for someone so early in their fire service journey.

But that’s not all – Jamarian is continuing to push himself and is set to begin his Volunteer Firefighter Certification class at Desoto County Emergency Services in January. Alongside his work with the fire department, he is also enrolled in our Work-Based Learning program, gaining hands-on experience that will serve him well in his future career.

We’re so proud of Jamarian and all his hard work in the Fire Science program! Keep up the great work!
