Several students from the DeSoto County Schools CTC East Logistics & Supply Chain program visited the new Medtronic and CEVA distribution and fulfillment center in Memphis to experience the high level of automation and technology utilized in that operation.
Students were treated to robotics performing picks and put-a-ways as well as the use of automated cartoning stations used to “build the box” around product shipments. Some students have interests in the maintenance and care of such automation equipment while others want to operate or manage the processes around the design and use of such sophisticated systems.
The students were grateful to be able to witness the great partnership between Medtronic and CEVA and are excited about their future careers in the industry.
