2020 Music Class Info
Please know that we are are working together as a CHES family in order to provide the best possible education for your children during this unprecedented time. Although things are subject to change, here are a few things to expect regarding music:
No In-Person Programs - although this is very saddening, CHES Music will not be producing any in-person performances for the upcoming semester. I am hopeful that we can implement some virtual alternatives so that students still have the performing experience.
Choir Changes - at this time, if choir is possible this year, it will not take place until second semester
Instrument Use - all weekly music classes will be inside the students' general classrooms, and will therefore have to be altered to fit into those spaces. Regular/Typical use of instruments in this situation will be difficult because of restrictions on movement, space, and sharing.
Distance Options - students who are distance learning will have access to the same lessons and materials that are used in class.
Schoology - All students will have access to a music course via the Schoology app/website. This is where music lessons and materials will be available. I will have instructions in this course on how to access QuaverMusic, which is our school's online music curriculum.
