About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

Education

I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K – 6th and 7th – 12th grade English and Social Studies. I also have a Master of Education, Curriculum and Instruction.

Experience

I worked at Olive Branch Elementary from 2004 - 2017.  For two years I worked as an assistant teacher. I taught kindergarten for five years and first grade for six years. I truly love working with children. It is my passion!! 

I joined Center Hill Elementary team in August of 2017. Each day is a new adventure of learning, and I am honored to be part of the excitement. Proud to be a Mustang!!

Bio

I am married to Derrick Sr.; we have two sons, Roderick and Derrick Jr. Two wonderful daughter-in-laws Vanessa and Tori. We have also been blessed with five grandchildren Jordan, Bryson, Chase, Gabriel, and Derorra. In my free time; I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and working in my flower garden.
