A Little About Me
Before teaching, I worked as an Assistant Distance Learning Coordinator and Director of Admissions for East Mississippi Community College- GT. My teaching career began in Coahoma County where I taught 3rd grade Mathematics and Science at Friars Point Elementary School. Before moving to DeSoto County, I taught 2nd grade at New Hope Elementary in Columbus, MS. This will be my 4th year teaching SPOTLIGHT. Gifted education is my passion!
I am originally from Columbus, MS and a graduate of New Hope High School.I enjoy spending time with my husband, Greg and our 3 children; Emily Grace, Chance and Nash. Emily Grace will be a Junior at DC, Chance will be a 6th grader at CHMS and Nash will be a 3rd grader at CHES. We have two dogs that are more like children than dogs. River is a Havanese and Dixie is a dapple dauschand. My husband is also a teacher. He teaches at Horn Lake High School.
