Subjects Taught

I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I am certified by the state of Mississippi to teach grades K-6 as well as Special Education.

This will be my 6th year of teaching. I was a stay at home mom for 10 years before pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher of young children. I completed a full year of student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom at Center Hill Elementary before being hired as the Special Education Preschool Teacher. I love working at Center Hill and I have a passion for working with Special Needs students. My classroom is structured, educational, and most of all...FUN! I enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of preschoolers and I try to use lots of creativity and variety in finding ways to reach these little ones.

My husband, Shawn, and I have been married for 22 years. We have two sons (ages 13 and 16) and we are very active in our sons' Boy Scout Unit, Troop 409 in Olive Branch. As a family we enjoy camping, hiking, traveling, and just spending time outdoors.
