Shoeboxes for Soldiers

Every year Baptist Memorial Hospital unites with Mississippi Project Package and asks North Mississippi Schools to participate in a contest called “Shoeboxes for Soldiers.” Their mission is to send care-packages to soldiers from the Mid-South and let our troops know that they have not been forgotten this holiday season. The schools that donate the most shoeboxes receive grants to be used towards their Physical Education Departments.

Please consider donating a few items to show our appreciation for our military men and women. Students may bring in donated items in a shoebox, a gallon Ziploc bag, or even a grocery sack. Feel free to enclose a card or a picture to the soldiers. The class that brings in the most boxes/bags overall will win a pizza party and a free day in PE. All grade level winners will earn a Popsicle party. The boxes will be accepted at CHES until Friday, October 26th.
